21, November 2016:
On November 5th, 2016 at the Fest-Of-Ale at the Holiday Inn Express in
Janesville, WI Bent Kettle offered a new microbrew beer. New on tap: The
debut of Occam's Razor Belgian Style Dubbel Ale 7% ABV.
Two other microbrew beers were available as well. The fan favorites served along with the new Occam's Razor were Insolence Double IPA 8% ABV and K'Paui Cononut Porter 7% ABV.
Bent Kettle Brewing has been planning two new beers for the fall of 2016. The first one to debut is the recently released Occam's Razor Belgian style dubbel ale. The recipe was 8 years in the making. ABV is about 7% with a dark garnet color, medium body and lots of dark fruit flavors typical of this style of microbrew beer.
Occam's Razor is aged in brandy barrels. The barrels were obtained from a Madison, WI distillery named Old Sugar. A Bent kettle Brewing company spokesman disclosed "this is a super limited project and only 4 sixth barrels of each beer exist." Production is planned to increase based on the ale's popularity with consumers.

The other upcoming microbrew beer soon to be released will be a Belgian double chocolate porter. They'll use a base porter recipe but ferment it with Belgian yeast and then age it on cacao nibs for a couple of weeks. This should be really, really good.
Cheers everyone!
