30, May 2017: Ukrainian start-ups managed to "integrate" into one of the most promising technology areas - Internet of Things or IoT. Igor Yankovsky writes on his blog on the Medium.
Businessman believes that IoT innovations assist in making life more comfortable by meeting human needs for self-expression, communication, health care and resource friendly behavior.
Ukrainian start-ups are not an exception. Just to take an example, one of the most commercially successful projects Ecois.me contributes to reasonable energy consumption. “The home controller” allows you control the household electric power consumption and recalls about the necessity to turn off the electrical appliances. The iconic businessman Richard Branson has recognized the success of Ukrainians and selected the Ecois.me to his Virgin Media Accelerator.
Another Ukrainian increasingly popular start-up is a Petcube, which allows pet owners to watch them remotely and event to entertain a cat or a dog with a laser beam. The start-up has already managed to attract investments of more than $ 3,8 million and his inventors plan to install a Petcube in animal shelters.
Young Ukrainian inventors also master the niche of gadgets and applications that help to live a healthy lifestyle. There is a wide variety of offers ranging from a virtual instructor for the gym (Helko start-up) or a smart bracelet that monitors a physical condition of his owner (FORCE emotion start-up) to an express test of food products (BioSens start-up).
Igor Yankovsky believes that such innovations not only make our existence easier and more enjoyable. Their mission is to promote the ideology of sustainable development and responsible consumption. This is fundamentally important for the Ukrainian society, which has just begun to overcome dependence on an extensive resource economy.
